About

Hello, I’m Sierra

I am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) licensed in California.

I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University and have trained with The Southern California Counseling Center and the Internal Family Systems Institute. I grew up in Los Angeles and come from a family of therapists and artists, where I was first introduced to this work.

As a teenager, I was a listener at a peer-to-peer crisis hotline called Teenline, run by Didi Hirsch, where I volunteered for three years. I later joined the Southern California Counseling Center, where I co-facilitated a teen group and provided individual therapy to adolescents and adults. I’ve worked in community mental health for four years and, while there, received Community Resilience Model (CRM) Training, which is designed to help adults and children track their nervous systems to bring the body, mind, and spirit back into greater balance. My interest in more somatic and creative practices led me to the Internal Family Systems Institute, where I continued to train for six months. I bring my background in early childhood education and art to my work as a therapist, along with my previous experience as a caregiver and teacher.

I gravitate toward this field because I am interested in the ways connection and presence create a foundation for change. I believe healing happens in relationships, and I hope to support those I work with in deepening the connections they have with themselves, others, and their surroundings.
